Virginia has a B.S. in Horticulture and M.S. in Plant Science from the University of Connecticut. Virginia worked for many years as an educator and administrator in Connecticut’s Technical High School system. Though Virginia enjoyed working with her students, her lifelong aspiration has always been to open up her own farm. With years of experience working with plants, Virginia is thrilled to finally be living her dream. Virginia wants all of her customers to feel truly good about what they are eating, knowing their vegetables and fruits are free of chemicals, pesticides, or genetic alteration. Simply put, she wants people to love their food and hopes to bring joy to people’s tables.
Wayne Keith, Founder
With over 30 years of experience as a Flight Inspector for Kaman Aerospace, Wayne brings the very technical and mechanical knowledge necessary to keep a farm running smoothly. Due to his impressive ability to make broken things come to life, Wayne is known in many circles as the official Mr. Fix-It. He helps the farm immensely by keeping all of the mechanical systems and machines running and in good condition. Beyond this, each season he helps Virginia with the planting and development of the vegetable gardens. He has also been known to snack on the wild blueberries that surround the farm and makes really great pancakes.
